  • What is your cancellation policy?
Late cancellations/no shows You are required to notify your counselor or coach of any cancellations at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not provide this notice, or you do not show up for your session without notifying your counselor or coach to cancel, you will be charged as outlined below.  These fees apply to both self-pay and insurance clients. Insurance companies are not responsible for late, canceled or no-showed sessions; therefore, these fees will be billed to the client instead of the copay. • More than 24 hours notice = no charge • Less than 24 hours notice = $50 fee (one hour session) *Continued late cancellations/no-shows may result in your regular time slot no longer being held and/or termination of services.
  • Do you accept insurance?
Each mental health professional has their own fees and policies related to payment of services. We accept cash, check, card, or digital payments (Ivy Pay). DeAnna Sheets, MA, LPC-S will be taking insurance through Headway. Coaching services are not covered by insurance. If you see an out-of-network provider, they can help you request reimbursement from your insurance provider. If you desire to use your insurance benefits, the first step is to contact your insurance company and verify what your mental health benefits are. You will need to ask about: Out-of-network coverage policies Your out-of-pocket payment before your deductible is met What percentage of the visit fee will be covered The number of covered visits per calendar year You are responsible for paying the counseling service fee. You may ask for a Superbill (a receipt for services provided) that you will submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please be aware that, if you choose to use your insurance coverage, some of your protected health information will be shared with your insurance company. This will include a mental health diagnosis on your health record.
  • What can I expect in the first session?
Sessions typically last between 45 to 55 minutes. Your first session with Built on the Rock will be a consultation. We will simply get to know each other and your counselor or coach will walk you through an information gathering and receiving process. At this time, we will begin working together to develop a treatment plan that is best for you.
  • Do you integrate faith into all counseling/coaching sessions?
Faith is integrated into counseling and coaching sessions upon the client’s request. The mental health professionals at Built on the Rock are Christians. Although we are Christians, we see people of different beliefs and it is not a requirement that you be a Christian to receive our professional services. Our aspiration is to assist you in your current struggle and/or reach a desired outcome. If you have any questions or concerns about this matter, please contact your therapist or coach.

  • Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have certain types of health care coverage or who are not using certain types of health care coverage an estimate of their bill for health care items and services before those items or services are provided.
